LOL wow, I haven't updated in so long.

There are so many TV shows I need to catch up on, but the past couple of weeks I have been on such a Bones kick. I had stopped watching after the season 4 premiere because I was so disappointed by the whole Zach thing and Angela and Hodgins breaking up, but last weekend I caught up with all the episodes I had missed, and I'm glad I did.

This past Monday, I went to the SYTYCD tour in Los Angeles, and it was amazing. Season 5 wasn't my favorite, but Jeanine is the first winner I have ever been 100% happy about, which is part of why I decided to go to the tour. All of the banter in between routines got a bit old, but I loved getting to see so many of my favorite dances from the season. The cast of the current season was there too, but I haven't seen episodes from it yet, so I wasn't as excited as I might have been otherwise.

I AM IN SUCH A GOOD MOOD RN. :D

The other day I went to Target, and I bought seasons 1, 2, and 4 of Alias for only $40! As in, they were only like $13 each! I swear, every single time I go to Target, I discover more reasons why it's the best store ever.

And then I went on IMDb earlier because I wanted to look up someone I recognized, and apparently David Anders is gonna be on 24 next season! NGL, I only watched like 4 episodes of season 7, and it apparently sucked, but I still love the show, and I'm totally gonna watch. He's not gonna be playing a British guy for once (*single tear*), but it should still be interesting.

On a final note, I must say that amazingly enough, I somehow managed to forget just how beautiful David Anders is. Those crappy streaming videos of Alias are nothing in comparison to my DVDs, and it's amazing.

day four

Today was LOTS of fun. Among other things, I:

- Went to see 17 Again, which was hilarious and adorable and awesome.
- Got Panda Express for dinner - yum Beijing Beef and Orange Chicken
- Read the last Jessica Darling book Perfect Fifths, which was...pretty much perfect, if you forgive the pun. ;) It was quite a bit shorter than the other four books, which I was disappointed about at first, but I loved it and the ending, so I'm satisfied.
- Bought my ticket for X-Men for next week. I'm looking forward to the movie and I'm totally excited to see Taylor Kitsch on the big screen.
- Speaking of big screens, they're putting in an I-Max screen or whatever it is at my theater, which should be cool.

On a totally different note, I'm not a fan of RPS, like at all, but I've been loving all these interviews with Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine for Star Trek, and between this, and the video below, they just make it so easy. ;)

day 3

Yes, it's not exactly day three, but just go with it. Today actually wasn't a bad day.

- I got out of my second class early, so I didn't have to run to catch the bus.
- I watched the last two weeks' episodes of American Idol, as well as last week's Lost. For like the first half of Lost, I totally forgot that Jack even existed, and it was the most glorious thing ever.
- Perfect Fifths (the last Jessica Darling book by Megan McCafferty) is on hold for me at the library! I've been waiting for this for months, and I'm so excited.

So I was supposed to be doing that meme, but the past few days I haven't been able to think of things that made me happy (pathetic as that might sound), and so I just skipped it. Let's just pretend that today (well, yesterday, but w/e) is actually the second day that I was doing it.

- I got a 95% on my PolySci paper that I wrote the night before! Whoohoo! I could have gotten a little bit better score if I had remembered a title page, but I'm not complaining.
- I finally joined Facebook, after resisting it for a while, and I got to talk to some of my friends. :)
- True Blood S2 Promo Clip! Unfortunately I'd already seen it (albeit in lower quality), but still, I'm definitely excited for June.
- I watched Hamlet 2, which is a really hilariously awesome movie.

So, I should probably be asleep right now because I have my early class tomorrow, but discolemonaaade tagged me for that "things that make you happy" meme, and I actually have some stuff to write about, so I'm getting this done.

- I got money in the mail from my godfather! For some reason I guess he always mistakes my half-birthday for my actual birthday, because it's like 6 months until September, but then he'll end up sending me a card at my birthday too, so idek.
- My mom bought me some Sour Patch Kids for no reason.
- I'm done with this week of hell! I totally procrastinated during all of spring break and I had three papers due this week, but I finished the last one tonight so I am stress-free for school tomorrow. (Well technically today, but I don't count it as the next day until I go to sleep.)
- Dates for the American Idol tour came out today, and so hopefully I can go to the Staples Center on July 16.

Umm, can it be June 14 already? I just got into True Blood last week, and I watched the whole season in two days. I can't wait for the second season, especially if they're really going to get through both book 2 and 3 during it.

ETA: Oh, and I love Photobucket's new, totally easy tagging system. So much better than it used to be.

OMGOMGOMGOMG, Friday Night Lights got renewed for TWO seasons!!! I'm so happy right now. :D Apparently Tyra and Lyla are not going to be coming back as regulars, which is too bad, but honestly, as long as Eric and Tami are on the show, I'll watch it, so I'm not too upset. My only worry is that as the show goes on, the quality might decrease, but last season was a MASSIVE improvement over S2, so hopefully that won't happen.

Everyone who hasn't watched this show really should. Even if you don't like football, it is one of the best shows I've ever seen, and is still going strong after its third season. I'm not going to spoil anything for people who are watching it on NBC or might want to watch it in the future, but the S3 finale set up some really interesting storylines that I'm excited to see play out, so this is such awesome news.

ZOMG RENT!!!

So, it's been a long time since I last posted (over a month), but I FINALLY SAW RENT, so I have to post/gush! LOL.

Last Thursday was such a great day. Unfortunately T/Th are the days where I have my early class (at 9:30. LOL), but my last class got canceled, so I decided to just go down to Hollywood early. It's surprisingly easy to get there - I just have to take the bus which stops right by my school and then make one transfer and it takes me to literally just around the corner from the Pantages.

What I did to kill time">So since I had like 4 hours until Rent started, I decided to walk to the El Capitan and see the Jonas Brothers 3D movie again, which was fun. The movie is of course eye candy galore, despite the egregious omission of I'm Gonna Getcha Good. I loved Joe's hair SO much last summer.

Beforehand this guy was giving out random prizes/merchandise, and since there was only like 10 people in the whole theater, I got this t-shirt (dark purple with the movie title/release date on it; kind of lame, but whatever, it was free) and a JONAS notebook. Plus when I was leaving, I got this poster for JONAS, which was kind of cool. Here are a couple of pictures. Sorry for the glare, but I don't think it's too bad:

The movie got done at 6:00, so I still had like an hour and an half of time to kill, and I ended up just walking around Hollywood and Highland for a while before getting dinner (chicken nuggets at Mickey D's b/c I had a coupon) and walking back to the Pantages.

They let you go into the lobby of the theater starting at 7:00, and then into the actual theater at 7:30, so I was sitting around really hyper for like 45 minutes before the show actually started.

I had been a little worried that I wasn't going to get to see Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal (since there's always illnesses, injuries - like whatever it was that kept Adam from going on at all while the tour was in Denver - and other stuff), but thankfully all was well and they were both there. Standbys were on for Joanne and Mrs. Jefferson/Female vocalist in Seasons of Love, but I was fine with that.

So now on to the actual show...seriously idek how to put into words how amazing it was. A lot of my favorite songs are in the first half of the show (One Song Glory, Will I?, Christmas Bells, Another Day, I'll Cover You), so I was kind of sad to get them over so quickly, but then again I love practically every song in this show except for Out Tonight and Over The Moon, and even those they still have some good parts.

The acting and singing were both really good, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. At first I thought Anthony and Adam's voices (both speaking and singing) sounded a lot different than what I was used to (which is of course completely natural, because I was hearing them live), but I changed my mind as the show progressed. I seriously love Adam's voice sfm, and he sounds like just as good live as he does on the various cast recordings and albums I've heard him on. I also loved the whole energy of the show and the audience and everything. There are those moments like before Today 4 You and La Vie Boheme where you can just tell how excited the audience is, which was awesome.

For me, getting into the show was an...interesting experience. I've listened to the cast recording and movie soundtrack a countless number of times and watched bootlegs and of course the movie (which is actually what got me into RENT in the first place), so I don't know if was because I am SO familiar with it or what, despite never having seen it live before, but for about the first half, I wasn't really as immersed in the show emotionally as I expected to be. But then once it got to I'll Cover You (Reprise) and Angel's funeral, I finally felt the way I thought I was going to, and that's when I started crying. So sad. :( I love that song so much though.

The actors did a great job, and while I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of Anthony Rapp, I like him better now that I've seen him live. He was hilariously awesome in Tango: Maureen. The idea of a bleach blonde Maureen sounds kind of odd on paper, but it worked. LOLOL, speaking of bleach, Adam's hair practically looked white under the lights. I guess the bleached hair makes him look younger, but I like him better with what I'm assuming is his natural hair color.

Thankfully there weren't very many annoying people around me like there was when I saw Wicked. Someone tall was sitting in front of me, but they didn't really obstruct my view. Although, there was this girl who kept leaving and coming back, which I don't get at all. I mean, WHY would you get up and go somewhere when Adam Pascal is about to sing One Song Glory, AKA one of my favorite songs ever?! And then she left for good during What You Own. LOL idgi at all. But whatevs.

So now I have two musicals left to go see at the Pantages - Grease a week from Thursday, and then Legally Blonde at the end of August. I'm also going to go see West Side Story at the beginning of May, because they're doing it at Villanova this year! I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't do WSS while I was still in high school, but I'm almost more excited to just be able to WATCH for once.

Anyway...I think that's all for now. I'm in the computer lab rn, because I don't have my last class until 2:15, so I decided I should finish this post up (which I started on Friday. LOL).

tv stuff

OMG, I love HIMYM so much. This was such a great episode. All the Barney/Robin scenes were awesome, and the B-plot was good too ("Lady-hips!"). I wish we could have gotten to see Robin's video resume, but at least Barney's was hilarious.

Then again, with NPH singing, talking in a British accent (with a wee bit of Scottish), and wearing jodhpurs, how could it go wrong? LOL. Speaking of that accent, it just reminded me once again how David Anders NEEDS to guest-star on HIMYM. He could be Barney's British cousin or something.

As for Gossip Girl...I actually thought this was a pretty good episode, considering how mad a lot of the characters make me. Seriously, I hate Dan, Ms. Carr, Nelly Yuki, and Lily/Rufus. Although I was glad to see SOMEONE point out how Ms. Carr was being inappropriate even if nothing sexual was happening between her and Dan, even if it was Rufus.

The Chuck stuff was kind of boring, but I'm hoping that this means we will get to find out more about Bart. It definitely has the potential to be interesting though.

lost, american idol, and more

Lost was so good this week! I mean, that's to be expected, what with no Kate and Jack and a focus on Desmond, but still. OMG, Desmond and Penny's baby is SO cute. I loved the part where Des was telling him about the "Island" that turned out to mean England. And I was so distracted by everything else going on in the episode, that it never occurred to me that they might name him Charlie, so that was a really happy surprise. I seriously love them so much. Ben BETTER not end up killing Penny, or I am going to be so pissed. Desmond and Penny need to live happily ever after, whether on their boat or whatnot.

It's nice to know that Widmore was always annoying, even as a young adult. I loved the part where he was talking about how Locke is just an old guy and there's no way he could have been followed. LOLOL, everyone always underestimated Locke, and I love to see him prove people wrong. Even as crazy as Locke is, I don't think it's possible for me to hate him. Haha.

Also, the new Richard/Locke ~bromance is awesome, and I'm glad we seem to be getting more Richard this season. He is such an interesting character, and is so nice to look at too. ;) Although I must say I'm getting annoyed with all the "ZOMG HE'S WEARING EYELINER" comments when both Darlton AND the actor himself have constantly denied that. LOL.

I guess Daniel/Charlotte is kind of cute, but IDK, despite the fact that he's needed to explain time travel stuff and everything, I don't really care that much about Daniel. I'm just not that emotionally invested in the Freighties or whatever their nickname is. However, of the three that are left, I like Miles the most.

Well, next week is apparently a Kate episode, and while I did see that Jate kiss in the commercial, I'm seriously hoping that it's a flashback. I don't WANT to hate Kate (and I don't yet), but her going back to Jack after everything he's said and done would ruin her character even more. I mean, I'm trying to be optimistic, but idk. :/

I also watched American Idol yesterday, and it was hilarious. Normally I don't like audition episodes, but I decided to watch because I was bored, and I'm so glad I did.

The street performer guy from Puerto Rico made me crack up SO much. It was like 1 am when I was watching the episode and I was in the living room, so I had to be quiet and not wake people up, but I was practically rolling on the couch with laughter when he pulled out the Simba sock puppet and started singing the Circle of Life. LOLOL.

And then right after that was the guy who made the joke about Ryan and Simon and despite everything, actually got a golden ticket. That was actually pretty awesome, and Ryan's expression after he came out of the room was PRICELESS.

I kind of liked the girl who sang Jason Mraz, as well as Jorge (the guy who sang in Spanish), and apparently they're in the top 36, so we'll get to see them sing more, which I'm happy about.

As it was only my first episode from this season, I'm not sure how I feel about Kara, but I think I like her. In any case, I'd be surprised if she's not a better judge than Randy and Paula put together (not that it would be hard to do so, as both of them, especially Randy are pretty useless, but still. LOL). And on a random note, Kara is SO pretty. She really reminds me of someone, but I can't figure it out. Maybe a younger version of Kelly Preston? IDK.

I've only watched a few movies since last time, but just scroll down to number 16 with the asterisk for the new additions to the list. And as always, I'd love movie recommendations.

2. Mulan (One of my favorite Disney movies ever; I'll Make A Man Out of You is perfection.)
3. Schindler's List (I...have no words for how incredible this was. I've always been really interested in World War II, and this movie was amazing.)

4. Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (Even though this was a sequel, I've always enjoyed it. I always get excited because they filmed it at my church back I lived in Pasadena and Chris Pine is so hot.)
5. The Duchess (Idek why I watched this tbh. It was okay I guess, but kind of boring and Keira Knightley's eyebrows were distracting me the whole time.)
6. The Times Of Harvey Milk (I haven't seen Milk, but this was a pretty good documentary.)
7. Welcome to the Dollhouse (Meh, I didn't really like it. I know the stereotype is that junior high is the worst time of everyone's life, but I didn't feel that way at all. Then again I never went to public school. I guess I couldn't really ~relate to the movie at all.)
8. Never Been Kissed (Cute, and I love Michael Vartan, but it's kind of a generic romantic comedy.)
9. Mamma Mia (I LOVED it. I read lots of bad reviews, but I thought it was really entertaining, the music was good, and Amanda Seyfried is so adorable. I can't get Lay All Your Love On Me out of my head.)
10. Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (Eh, it was okay. Lisa Kudrow was funny and I liked seeing lots of random actors showing up in it, but the other girl's voice really annoyed me and it was kind of a struggle to finish it.)
11. Cruel Intentions (I've seen this movie so many times, but I love it sfm.)
12. Brick (IDK, JGL is amazing and so nice to look at, but I didn't really ~get it. The only place I could find it online though had it in like 16 parts though, so that was kind of annoying. Also, it was weird to see Claire from Lost without an Australian accent and Eden from Heroes always bugs me.)
13. Stop-Loss (OMG, it was so sad, but I loved it. For a MTV-produced movie, it was a lot better than I expected. And there was lots of eye candy, which delighted me. LOL. The girl in it really annoyed me though.)
14. The English Patient (It was pretty good. It's not the kind of movie I'd want to watch more than once, but it was enjoyable. PLUS Sayid! :) Haha, although it was kind of weird hearing him with a different accent.)
15. Love Actually (I love this movie, but at the same time it makes me feel really sad. On a random note, I noticed January Jones (aka Betty Draper) in the bar scene. LOL.)
*16. The Cutting Edge ("Toe pick!" Haha, this movie is so entertaining. Sports movies are awesome, especially ones like this. I'd already seen this, but it took until the second time watching it to realize that Blades of Glory probably took the whole "top secret move" idea from it. Also bonus Locke! He plays Kate's dad and has a funny little mustache.)
17. 10 Things I Hate About You (LOL, I love this movie. It's a teen comedy that I can just watch over and over again. I actually saw it for the first time just like a week or two before Heath died, and then I watched it again after I found out he died. :( Anyway, this has so many good lines in it, and JGL is so little and cute.)
18. Revolutionary Road (This was pretty good, but depressing. I definitely agree with the people who think this got snubbed at the Oscars. Kate and Leo were both really good.)

Also, a few other random things that are making me happy right now:

- There's less than a week until I'm going to see Phantom of the Opera. :)
- Less than a month until RENT! Just thinking about it makes me giddy. LOL.
- I might be going to see Taylor Swift on May 22 at the Staples Center! I know some people may not ~approve (although I still love y'all), but I'm quite excited. I've only ever been to two concerts ever, and it's on a Friday, which is nice. I don't care much about Kellie Pickler or the other group that's going on tour with her, but whatever.

LOST! And Other Stuff

LOL, it's been so long since I last updated. The most important thing I have to say is that LOST IS BACK! The first two episodes were great and I am so looking forward to this season.

Hmm, and I just realized that all of those moments involve people getting hurt/trying to hurt people. LOL. Well, on a non-violent note, I LOVED the little bit of Desmond and Desmond/Penny we got. They're married and living on a boat in the Mediterranean! :) I miss Desmond's sexy blue shirt and long hair, but I'll be happy with whatever screentime they get (unless Darlton kills Penny, which is definitely something I don't want to see).

Next, we got Dish Network this week, as well as a DVR! I'm so excited by this, especially since it's in the middle of awards season and I'll get to see red carpet stuff and everything. And I may or may not be watching a lot of Disney Channel. ;)

Also, I've gotten off to a good start with the movie meme. As always, I'm interested in recommendations. I like basically all genres of movies except for horror and vulgar sex comedies like Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

So I just joined lost_dazzle the other day, and I was watching a bunch of funny Lost videos. These two are definitely the funniest. The first one is Ben/Locke (btw, why do fans of that call it "Bocke"? "Blocke" is so much better. LOL), and I'm assuming it's supposed to be funny. The other one is Sayid/Claire, and it's pretty much just funny because of the randomness of it.

Also, OMG, I just watched that special feature called "The Oceanic Six: A Conspiracy of Lies", and I loved it SFM. Conspiracy theories have always interested me, and it was cool to see all the huge holes in the O6's story. I must say, I never thought of the whole...cannibalism thing. LOL. I must say though that if this was real, I would totally be convinced by it.

Gossip Girl was great tonight. The three weeks or whatever went by a lot quicker than I expected them to.

Although I'm hoping nothing happened between Jack and Blair, and I doubt they're going to ~go there~ anyway, it would be...interesting if they did. I'm just going to assume for the time being though that the promo is misleading. I mean, maybe Blair got really drunk, Jack propositioned her, and they made out or something, but IDK about sex. For all of the OMFG SO SCANDALOUS promotion the show gets, it usually doesn't live up to that reputation. I mean, there's barely even been any sex this season!

With that conversation between Blair and Serena in the hallway, I thought that Blair was about to tell Serena about her bulimia relapsing again or something (just speculation, but definitely a possibility IMO), not about anything between her and Jack. Blair tends to keep quiet about such things (ex: Serena not even finding out that Blair and Nate slept together until Blair's pregnancy scare), and besides, they were out in public! But who knows.

The look on Dorota's face after Blair told off the society ladies was amazing. I love how she's been getting so much more screentime this season. Blair was unnecessarily snippy to her at times, but I guess she was pretty stressed.

LMAO, Hazel was kind of awesome tonight. Penelope is really annoying, but I pretty much like the other two "mean girls".

Serena's sudden change of heart involving Chuck was so confusing. I guess now she cares about how Blair is feeling, and it's less about Chuck, but idek.

And I honestly didn't even realize that there wasn't any Nate until after the show ended. I was happy once I noticed that though. LOL.

Unlike a lot of people, 2008 was pretty great for me. I graduated, turned 18, voted for the first time, got my own room (for the first time in 18 years), got a laptop, saw Wicked, and more stuff that I can't recall. I don't know how 2009 is going to turn out, but I'm going to be optimistic.

Normally I don't make New Year's resolutions, but I decided to try this year.

1. Get more sleep! This is something I really need, so I'm going to try and go to bed by like 1 am on school nights and nights where I have to be up early the next morming. I'll probably fail, but at least I don't have to start until February.
2. Not spend so much time on my computer. This is linked with the not-sleeping, so hopefully these can go together.
3. Read at least one book a week. As a result of spending so much time on the computer, I barely ever read anymore. Although it of course only takes me a couple hours to read something, hopefully this will be a motivation for #2.
4. Eat more healthily. Or if I can't do that, at least stop eating so much junk food.
5. I'm gonna try that "watch 200 movies in a year". So far I'm on one and a half. Last night I watched Mysterious Skin (which OMG, was so sad. :() and started Brick (yes, I'm on a JGL kick rn. LOL).
6. Catch up on all the TV shows I need to - Dexter, Nip/Tuck, Heroes, Bones, and Ugly Betty.
7. Last but most definitely not least, try and think before I speak. I can control myself online, but I'd like to be a better person for my family to be around, and this is the best way to do so.

Hopefully I'll manage to keep most of these, and if anyone has movie recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

ETA: I obviously didn't mean 500 movies. WTF, that would be impossible. LOL.

01.) Who is your favorite character from #2 (Gossip Girl)?

Definitely Blair. Yeah she can be bratty and immature at times (trying to ruin Eleanor's fashion show anyone?) and she's a manipulative bitch, but at least she owns up to that fact, unlike some characters on the show (*coughDan&Vanessacough*). And tbh I often like bitchy characters (for example, Shannon was one of my favorite characters in S1 of Lost). Plus, Blair's so witty and has SUCH a fabulous wardrobe.

02.) Who is your least favorite character from #4 (Lost)?

LOL, JACK. No question at all. Among other things, I hate his arrogance and his behavior towards women (especially Kate). Fishbiscuitland wrote a REALLY great essay on how Jack is abusive, and it details all of my feelings about him.

03.) What would a crossover between #1 (FNL) and #5 (Mad Men) include?

Hmm, well that would never be able to happen, considering that the shows are set like 40 years apart, but if I had to figure something out, I guess maybe since *spoiler alert* Jason is in New York now working for the sports agency, maybe they could work with Sterling Cooper for something.

04.) Who is your favorite ship from #6 (Heroes)?

Mohinder/Sylar! I've basically stopped watching this season, but I prefer to remember the ~glory days of Heroes, before they were trying to convince us that Sylar likes girls. I haven't seen it yet, but Sylar/Elle? WTF. And I'm still pissed about how they messed up Mohinder's character this season. Oh well, at least I heard that he lost his powers, and I'm happy about that.

05.) If you were to set one person from #3 (HIMYM) and one person from #6 (Heroes) on a blind date, who would they be?

Hmm, well she's not his normal ~type (aka not blonde), but I'm going to say Robin and Nathan. That would be a lot of pretty. OOH OR MAYBE ROBIN AND ADAM! ~~And not just because David Anders looks kind of like NPH, but hotter.~~ They're both snarky and cynical, and I think it would be interesting.

06.) If you could meet one person from #4 (Lost) and spend the day with him/her, who would it be and what would you do?

LOL, would I really want to meet any of them? Not particularly. Well, I guess maybe I would go visit Desmond and Penny and ~*~SPOILER ALERT~*~ play with their new bb! :) Seriously though, I'm was excited when I saw that part in the preview. If Darlton does anything to mess with Desmond or Penny, I am going to be PISSED.

07.) If you could change one thing about #2's (Gossip Girl) plotline, what would you change?

Hmm, well off the top of my head I would get rid of Vanessa and toss the whole Georgina/Serena killing someone storyline. The second half of S1 definitely didn't live up to my expectations, because I wanted it to be Blair + Serena against the UES, and all of Serena's drama overshadowed that. Plus, I hated the retconning of why Serena went to boarding school.

08.) Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5 (Mad Men) and why you like the relationship between them.

In a non-romantic way, I like the relationship between Don and Peggy. Even though Peggy just started out as Don's secretary, it seems like he actually respects her.

09.) If the lead title characters (first names in the credits) from #1 (FNL) and #3 (HIMYM) were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?

LOL, sorry Ted, but there's no doubt in my mind that you're the one to die. tbh, Buddy Garrity is like the only character from FNL that I wouldn't save over Ted.

10.) If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4 (Lost), what order would you choose?

IDK, what specific order I would pick, but I would give Jack so much less screentime. And I would love it if Sawyer, Desmond, Sayid, Sun, and Jin (at the least) got more screentime.

11.) If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline of #6 (Heroes), what would the character be like, and what would their role be?

Well, the show seriously doesn't need anymore characters, so I would just bring Adam back to life.

12.) What happens in your favorite episode of show #2 (Gossip Girl)?

Well, I love Victor/Victrola (aka the episode where Blair and Chuck first hook up), but I think my favorite episode of Gossip Girl is Seventeen Candles. I'm feeling lazy rn, so just go here for a great recap. Basically, Blair has a birthday party, she breaks up with Nate for good, and hooks up w/ Chuck again. Here are a bunch of gifs.

13.) If you could kill off one of the characters in #1 (FNL), who would it be and how would you do it?

OMG, how am I supposed to decide that?! LOL. I'm gonna just take the easy way out and say JD's awful dad.

14.) If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 (HIMYM) or show #5 (Mad Men), which would you choose?

I guess HIMYM. I can only imagine how hilarious the set must me.

15.) If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person would it be?

This is such a hard question! I'm gonna have to say Tim Riggins though. Sure he is/was a drunk and everything, but he's gotten really motivated this season, and is so adorable. I totally melted when he was telling Lyla how he is "kind of madly in love" with her. Awww.

Wow, that only took me like a week and a half. LOL. It's done now though.

I've been lazy, so here are the last three days for me.

Christmas Eve
- I don't really remember everything that happened, but my mom bought Home Alone 2, and we watched that.
- I got the Wicked episode of Ugly Betty on iTunes.

Christmas
- I didn't get woken up TOO early by my siblings.
- I got some nice presents: Lost S4 on DVD, fake Uggs (which actually aren't as comfortable as you might expect, a Lost calendar (with Desmond on September!), a lap desk (although I'm bringing it back b/c I don't *really* need it, a bunch of candy (Lemonheads, chewy Sweetarts, peanut butter Twix), and a $10 iTunes giftcard.
- I bought Mean Girls on iTunes for only $4.99!
- My sister got the complete series of Full House!

Today
-I watched the first few episodes of Full House, and Stephanie is SO, SO adorable. She was always my favorite character, and is definitely cuter than Michelle. MK & A were...not very cute as babies.
- I got Panda Express for dinner. Mmmm Bejing Beef and Orange-Flavored Chicken.
- It was only $13 for Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2 at Target today! I would have bought a bunch more movies as well (Cruel Intentions, Bye Bye Birdie, and more), but I didn't have enough money.
- ADAM PASCAL AND HEATHER HEADLEY SINGING MY TWO FAVORITE DISNEY SONGS! So apparently there was some concert in London with West End and Broadway stars singing Disney songs, and since they were in the OBC of Aida (which is SUCH an amazing musical btw), they participated. Anyway, they sang A Whole New World and Can You Feel the Love Tonight, both of which I love SFM. It was such an unexpected surprise to hear about this (as well as get a download of it), and it made me REALLY happy.
- Just to keep the previous comment from being so long, Adam also sang Strangers Like Me from Tarzan, and they both sang Written In The Stars from Aida.
- My headphones broke (which is really annoying, since I DNW sound only coming out of one year), but j_aimegarcons told me about Skull Candy headphones, and they look really good (and have a lifetime warranty), so I think I'm going to get some.

happiness meme - day six

1. My siblings and I got our yearly package from my aunt. She always bakes us a bunch of different kinds of cookies and sends us a few DVDs. This year we got Toy Story (since we only have it on VHS) and National Treasure 2. Although personally I prefer Toy Story 2, I love both of those movies. The history/conspiracy theories in National Treasure is so interesting to me. Plus Riley is adorable, and I want the main girl's wardrobe.

2. After searching at like 3 different stores, I managed to find some thick tights. Seriously, why do they make footless tights in every single color of the rainbow, but I can't even find like one pair of normal black tights? As Blair Waldorf said, "TIGHTS ARE NOT PANTS". ;) Anyway, I got some black knit tights, as well as some adorable red ones with silver snowflakes. And no, they're not as tacky as they sound. LOL.

3. Chocolate covered pretzels + marshmallows = yumminess. My mom bought a bag of big marshmallows, so I decided to try just eating some with my pretzels, and it was really good. Sort of like a variation on s'mores, but with pretzels instead of graham crackers, and not warmed up.

4. Music! Here are some songs I'm loving at the moment:

- Colors of the Wind (from Pocahontas) by Sara Ramirez (Yes from Grey's Anatomy, but she's also a Tony-Award winning actress and has a beautiful voice).

- No Good Deed by Eden Epinosa (I have practically been listening to Wicked non-stop since I went to see it last Friday. LOL)

- A Change Is Gonna Come by Matt Doyle from Spring Awakening (and recently Gossip Girl). He absolutely KILLS it. So good.

So I was lazy and haven't done this for the past few days, so here are some things that made me happy on days two through five.

1. The main thing (that I've been happy about since day two) is that on Friday I WENT TO SEE WICKED. It was the first time I saw Wicked and the second ever professional theatre production that I've ever seen (the first being The Lion King two years ago).

Besides the fact that I got to see Wicked period, I was really excited that I got to see Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty as Elphaba and Glinda. Eden Espinosa was the second-ever person to play Glinda on Broadway (she was Idina Menzel's standby), and she and Megan Hilty were part of the cast when Wicked first came to Los Angeles two years ago. However, both of them left the cast last December (hyper_r_us, did you see Eden as Maureen when you went to Rent in NY last June?), and so with all the delays it took for me to actually get my tickets, I was expecting to just see some random people I'd never heard of in the cast. But apparently both of them returned back in November, to finish out Wicked's Los Angeles run (as it closes on January 11). So that made me REALLY happy.

As for the actual show itself, I loved it sfm. Before I went, I had seen some some videos of Eden, and tbh I didn't like her voice very much, but now...idek, I think I might like her more than Idina Menzel, which is saying something for me. For example, I've listened to the OBC cast recording tons of times (Defying Gravity is at the top of my iTunes top 25), but I was never that enthusiastic about the song The Wizard and I. However, I was absolutely blown away when I saw it live.

Defying Gravity and No Good Deed were AMAZING as well. Unfortunately some stupid teenagers near me kept singing/talking/horsing around during Defying Gravity, and almost ruined it for me, but I tried as best I could to block them out, and for the most part it worked. tbh, I could have been a bit more impressed with Defying Gravity vocally (there were a few parts where I didn't like her interpretation of it, such as "if you care to find me"), but I still loved it. And I think No Good Deed has become my favorite song from Wicked atm. I've been listening to it all weekend. For Good, while beautiful, didn't actually make me cry. I cry at YouTube videos of it, so I was quite surprised, but I guess the fact that we were so far back (our seats were up in the second mezzazine were part of the reason.

There are no recent videos of that to be found rn, so here is a recent video of Defying Gravity (not from my show, but was taken just a few days before it, so I would consider it a good representation of what I saw) and a somewhat old one of No Good Deed (I believe it is from her last LA show last December).

As for the other cast members, they were pretty good. Megan Hilty annoyed me at times, particularly during Popular, because she was being so over-the-top ditzy and somewhat incoherent with the lyrics that I thought it was kind of ridiculous. It's interesting though, because now when I listen to stuff with Kristen Chenoweth, it sort of seems that she's not ditzy/bubbly *enough*. There definitely could be a happy medium between them though.

The actor who played Fiyero kind of annoyed me (his voice was a bit too high for my tastes), as did the actress who played Madame Morrible, who was using this weird accent, but as a whole, I was impressed.

I'll end this review with a video with clips of that episode of Ugly Betty where they went to see Wicked. The show filmed at the Pantages, and with the exception of the actor who plays Fiyero, this is the cast I saw. There are snippets of Popular, I'm Not That Girl, and Defying Gravity.

2. In a very, very close second is the fact that on Saturday, I bought tickets for RENT!! As in, on March 5, 2009, I WILL BE SEEING ADAM PASCAL AND ANTHONY RAPP when the tour comes to Los Angeles!!! To say that I am excited...is a huge understatement. I was really sad when Rent closed on Broadway, because it meant that I would never be able to see it, but this is even better than seeing it in New York. Gah, I love Adam Pascal.

3. They have this special super-savings packages for season tickets for the Pantages, so in addition to Rent, I'm also going to see Phantom of the Opera, Grease, and Legally Blonde! I'm especially excited for Phantom, because normally it isn't performed here on the West Coast b/c of the Las Vegas version, but apparently they made an exception for this tour. The only semi-bad thing about the package is that the seats to choose from are extreme stage left and right, but hey, they're still orchestra section, so I'm not going to complain. ;)

5. Considering how it's been like six months and I still haven't found a job yet (grrr!), my parents decided that if I do extra chores and stuff (mostly sweeping the living room/dining room/kitchen), I can start getting an allowance again! Nothing major, just $10 a week, but at least I can start saving up money.

5. Then there's just a bunch of food-related things that made me happy these past few days. LOL. We had my favorite dinner (tacos w/ flour tortillas), my mom made my favorite kind of muffins (cornbread with Polska Kielbasa sausage) for me, on Sunday, I made a huge batch of chocolate covered pretzels. Mmmm. I'm definitely going to do more baking before Christmas.

Well that's all I can think of right now. Hopefully I won't be lazy later and I can do this for today.

it's been a while

Wow, it's been like a month since I last posted. Sorry for that. I've been really busy with school and other stuff, but now I'm done! So hopefully I'll be able to update more.

Anyway, I discovered today that sadeyedsmile tagged me for that 8 Days of Happiness meme, so I guess I'll start today. Here is some stuff that made me happy.

1. Being done with finals! IDK how I did, but they're over with for now, and I'm off from school until February 9. Yay for community colleges?

2. I didn't have to wait very long for the bus. I hate it when I have to wait like 20 minutes because I JUST miss the bus. (Especially when it comes while I'm waiting to cross the street to get to the bus stop. Yes, unfortunately that has happened many times.)

3. A new episode of FNL! I love that show SFM, and I can't believe that there's only 2 more episodes of this season (and maybe ever!)

This episode was so heartbreaking and so good. Just like basically every episode, but this one stood out. The stuff with JD and his dad was so powerful, and I'm really glad JD finally stood up for himself.

I've always loved Tim/Lyla, ever since S1, so I've been loving their relationship all season. When I was reading spoilers before S3 started, I didn't think that they were going to last as a couple, but now I'm getting more optimistic. Tim is such an awesome boyfriend, and the "I'm kind of madly in love with you" part was SO adorable

Anything with Matt and his grandma always makes me sad, and this episode is no exception. I wonder if she's actually going to be put into a home or not. :( I don't really like the actress who plays Matt's mom (and she'll always be Cassidy from Lost to me), but that character has gotten better.

I was sad to see no Julie or Matt/Julie, and there wasn't enough of Eric and Tami, but the stuff they had was great. It will be interesting to see what will happen with the redistricting.

Finally, Mindy and Billy crack me up so much, and I liked Tyra in this episode. Her scene with Angela at the end totally made me cry.

4. NPH is hosting SNL when it comes back in January! That show hasn't been very good for a while, but I will still watch it for him. I hope there is a Dr. Horrible sketch! Speaking of which, I finally watched Dr. Horrible last week, and I love it so much! NPH has such a good voice and he was so adorable.

5. David Cook covering Hunger Strike again! That is one of my absolute favorite covers that he has done, and I love that he has Andy Skib in his band so that they can sing this again (if you'd like to compare, here is David singing it with the Midwest Kings pre-Idol).

I'm so looking forward to this movie. It looks pretty good, and I'm excited to see Taylor Kitsch on the big screen. :) And I find Hugh Jackman so hot as Wolverine.

Tim Riggins

Well, I love Friday Night Lights, and Tim is one of my favorite characters. Sure, that's pretty predictable, since I always love characters similar to him (Logan Echolls, Chuck Bass, etc.), but whatever. He's an entertaining character, I like his relationship with Lyla, and he's hot. :)

Trick-Or-Treating

What's not fun about trick-or-treating? I can never turn down an opportunity for free candy, and I love seeing all the little kids in their costumes

Totally Fucked

A great song from a great musical. A perfect song to listen to if you're annoyed/angry/pissed off. And this video is a really great performance of it, since it's from the two main actors' last show. It got a HUGE standing ovation.

TWoP

tbh, now that I'm out of school and lj isn't blocked anymore, I don't go to TWoP *as* often, but I'm still addicted to it. I met tons of great people there, and it's gotten me hooked on lots of shows. In particular, Heroes (ty ibroketuesday :D). I barely read any of the recaps anymore, except for Jacob's Gossip Girl ones. And the American Idol ones during the season. I hate him as a mod, but the guy has a way with words. Even his recaplets are entertaining.

Target

My FAVE store. It has food, makeup, clothes, movies, etc., and is way better than Wal-Mart. I think what I love the most though is when they have season DVDs of TV shows for only $20. That's how I got the first two seasons of Veronica Mars, both seasons of Friday Night Lights, and S1 of Heroes.

To Catch A Thief

Cary Grant + Grace Kelly + Hitchcock + the French Riviera = an amazing movie. I absolutely adore Grace Kelly, and this is one of my favorite Hitchcock movies, along with Notorious and Rear Window.

Traveling

Unfortunately I haven't done much traveling in my life. I've never been out of the U.S., and other than trips to San Francisco to visit relatives and a school trip to Washington D.C. my freshman year of high school, I haven't really done very much. I really want to travel more when I get older though. I want to go to New York City SO badly. Ugh, I can't even put into words how much. I also really want to go to Hawaii. And the fact that Lost films there is only one of the many reasons. ;)

5. What's the last place you went on vacation? Well, the last time I went on vacation was probably 3 or 4 years ago, but iirc, it was probably San Francisco.

7. Is there a useless thing that you cannot brace yourself to throw out? Magazines. Even if they're like years old, I can't bear throwing them away, because I always regret it.

8. Who was your first big crush? His name was Nicholas, he had blonde hair, and was really cute. He probably still is. I haven't seen him in like 5 years though.

9. What did you want to be when you grew up? A fashion designer. LOL.

10. What is your favorite object on your table? I don't really have anything on my table, but I guess my Aladdin DVD.

11. What would you change about the world if you could? IDK, there's so much I could think of to change.

13. What was the last movie you watched? In theaters, HSM 3. On DVD, Blades of Glory.

18. What did you do today? I went to see HSM 3, ate Halloween candy, and am watching SNL later.

19. What do you want? A job. Money. To be able to control my urge for unhealthy food. To do good in my classes.

20. What should you be doing right now? Ugh, filling out job applications. I really need a job, but hate to do applications.

21. What's the meaning behind your LJ username/name/nicknames you go by? Well, Freckles is because of Sawyer's nickname for Kate on Lost and because I have freckles too. 9/29 is my birthday.

OMG, so I went to see HSM 3 this morning, and it was SOOO good. I'm definitely going to go see it again, even if I have to take my little sister with me. LOL.

I definitely think this was the best of the three movies. It was nice that they had a larger budget and stuff, and the music was really good. There were like 3 parts that were my favorite.

I loved I Want It All because of all the theatrics and costumes and everything, and because Ryan and Sharpay are fierce. I laughed so hard at Troy being Sharpay's #1 fan or whatever.

I loved The Boys Are Back because...IDK, I liked the dancing? LOL, well tbh, one of the main reasons I liked it so much because of how HOT Zefron looked in the plaid shirt and bandana. Mmmmm. And bb Troy and Chad were so adorable!

Finally, I loved Scream because it's my favorite song from the movie, and it was full of lolz. IDK which was better, Bet on It or Scream, but it's a close race.

I really loved Ryan in this movie too, and was definitely amused by how they were still kind of trying to convince us that he's straight...while he's wearing pink leather pants. LMAO. Well, at least he only asked Kelsi to the prom because Sharpay told him too. Oh, and I was SO happy that Ryan got the scholarship at the end of the movie. He deserved it. :)

Did anyone else notice that Gabriella was wearing dresses like the whole movie, except for the scene where Troy shows up at Stanford? I thought that was kinda weird, but ngl, I'd love her wardrobe. Was the dress she wore on the roof (bluish flowers with cinched sleeves) when it rained from American Eagle? Because I went there after the movie, and I swear I saw a dress that looked just like it.

And the one other thing I thought was weird was how Martha (and maybe Taylor? I don't remember) were cheerleaders. That was random.

LOL, and since I am pathetic, and the subject matter of this movie is still kind of close to my heart (because I just graduated last year), the movie made me cry more than I'd like to admit. But it was still amazing.

I'm sure there will be more that I remember later, so don't be surprised if I write more about this later. :)

sbutt02 and tju_tju_tju_tju picked icons of mine, and since some of them overlapped, I'm just gonna put them all together.

This is pretty much my favorite icon. It was my default for like 6 months, until I got out of school and actually had time for LJ. Anyway, it's from the S2 finale of Heroes, an episode entitled Powerless, and I love it so much because Adam is one of my favorite characters, (RIP. *sniff*) and David Anders plus a samurai sword = win. tbh, I kind of ignore Peter as part of the team, since basically all he did was be Adam's "superpowered boytoy" (I love the EW recap that called him that. LOL), but whatever. To see this scene in action, here's a video with a bunch of clips from Powerless. Sorry, unfortunately embedding is disabled, and I don't have time to find another video. Ah, Grey's Anatomy. I used to like the show. I even have the first two seasons on DVD. It started going downhill in S3, and I stopped watching after Addison left. But Addison was amazing, and I really liked her and Mark together. I was never really a big fan of Addison/Alex, which they also had in S3, but then again fans of both pairings got screwed over by the spinoff, so whatever. The scene my icon's from is really hot. It's at the end of this video, but that episode is hilarious, so you might as well watch the whole thing. ;)

I don't know what this picture was specifically taken for, but it was used in promotion for Spring Awakening, which I absolutely love. I first heard of it when some songs were used in various fanmixes (specifically The Bitch of Living, The Mirror-Blue Night, and The Dark I Know Well, iirc), but didn't pay too much attention. I remember not even liking The Bitch of Living very well, but The Mirror-Blue Night was what hooked me, and that prompted me to download the soundtrack. I didn't actually listen to it at first, but eventually I did, and really liked it. And well, now I'm pretty obsessed. Not in a creepy way though. I've heard some crazy stories. LOL. I'm hoping to see SA when the tour comes to Los Angeles next month, especially since I won't be able to see it on Broadway, considering it's closing in January. Not that I particularly like the current cast, from what I can tell, but still.

LOL, this might be a close second favorite among my icons. (And both of my favorites are of David Anders. Imagine that. ;)) Since I didn't watch Alias, my first exposure to DA was through the pre-S2 interviews and promo stuff. My icon is from a video put up on the EW website from when they were filming the covershoot and stuff. I just immediately loved him after watching the little bits of the interview with him, and the part from my icon is especially adorable. LOL. Anyhoo...

Desmond! <3 My favorite character on Lost. He's amazing, and so is that blue shirt. And considering the fact that he wore it for almost two full seasons and I'm not sick of it is proof. ;) I have lots of love for both Desmond's blue shirt and Adam's purple shirt from Heroes.

I love Veronica Mars so much, and I love Logan/Veronica too. I tend to avoid thinking about S3, so I don't have to remember the stuff that happened there. LOL. This was their first kiss, and it's cute.

This one's pretty easy. Joe + arms + glasses + plaid = me happy. :)

Blair/Chuck is probably my favorite ship at the moment. Gossip Girl is a really great show, but Blair and Chuck, both as a couple, and individually, are the reasons why I even watch it. I like Serena and Eric too, as well as Rufus and Lily occasionally, but that's not enough for me to watch without Blair and Chuck. There's already too much Dan, Jenny, Nate, and Vanessa as it is. The scene from my icon was early on in the season, and really hot. It has already been surpassed by recent events, but is still good. :)

And now I have to go to bed, because I'm getting up early and going to see HSM 3! YAY.
